Bully Chronicles…. Happy HUMP Day!! =D Good morning! Okay, so I have my little list to take with me to the docs, about PCOS, thyroid, etc., and should be able to get in today… we’ll see, I have to call in a few minutes to see if I can get an appointment or not. She’s so booked out, that is the only way to get an appointment in less than 2 months out! I am nervous about hearing the results of the MRI, but also hopeful that there is a reasonable solution, too. Please say a lil prayer for me today, I’m sure my bp is going to be up again, as I feel the headache moderately today, too. Also, I’ve still got the “stomach bug” that hit me on Monday!! =S Ugh,… what is that about? Guess I’ll add it to my list. Also, quite swollen, so of coarse the scales are being mean to me. I’m going to try to drink my water and get another green sun tea brewing today. I just am not doing well with food, lately. I have come to the conclusion that much of my food intake quality, revolves around my foot pain. I don’t complain about it much, but my feet are bothering me pretty good again, and I’m not sure why. I’m waking up with them feeling swollen and sore, so by the end of the day, it’s pretty tender to walk. So, I won’t stand in the kitchen and try to chop up good foods, I’ll just grab what I can and get off of my feet. Like right now, I’ve only gotten my coffee… and I do not have interest of getting something to eat, due to my feet. bah… I hate pain! I have gone to buying the bag of chopped broccoli from Costco, so that helps at dinner to steam a bowl of that, but I can only afford to by so much “pre-cut” stuff. I need to do laundry today, get to the docs and hit a store for groceries before the rush for the weekend. I like that hubby is enjoying grilling season, so I need to get more grill-able foods! :) Syd enjoyed about an hour of the pool yesterday, even though it wasn’t all that warm! lol Maddi sat on the ladder… between being too cold and nervous about the nearly 3 feet of water to walk in… she’s more cautious. There was NO WAY IN HECK that I was getting in… it was too cold for me. Sposed to reach 80 today, maybe it’ll warm a bit more for them. :) Ran the filter most of the day yesterday, so I’ll check the levels this am and see where it’s at. I’m happy to say that Syds eyes weren’t red after splashing around and getting the hang of the floaty’s! lol :) I happily bought a bunch more flowers yesterday to plant for the girls’ flower garden, too! :) LOVING the flowers this year! Loving hubby’s attentive zest to helping out, too!! Anyone see the guy that I married??? This is just NOT him! lol Okay, off to check on you all… hope you’re all Rockin’ it up! UPDATE: Just spoke to the docs and I have an appointment set for 2:30 this afternoon. More later when I find out. luvs n hugs

Start of South Beach Diet I started South Beach in January for a second time. 2007 was a roller coaster year. Moving to a new state and of course a new job. Dad falling and breaking his leg and then being diagnosed with lung cancer. Then three months later Herm (husband) gets laid off. We of course I ate and drink myself silly. I lost 10 lbs but really didn’t give it a lot of effort. No work outs etc. Then May rolled around and I decided that enough was enough. I was bone thin….I mean bone thin until 13 years ago when imagine this…my Dad had cancer surgery, a year later my mom had cancer surgery and I had three surgeries in 1.5 years. Kaboooooooom! Metabolism slowed way down and the chocolate shakes and Chineese I ate to comfort me were only temporary comfort, but permament weight gain. So here I am overweight and unhappy about how I look AND feel everyday. So I took the Bull…or more accurately…the fridge door by the handle and slammed it shut. In June I began in earnest again. I lost five pounds, but still I wasn’t really working out and knew that I needed to make adjustments because the scale was just wasn’t going anywhere. See-sawing up and down but never any further then 174. I started using to track my calories and activity level. Its a great site. I realized that my sugar free, or fat free for that matter, Hazelnut creamer was derailing my weight loss. Also the low carb beer while cooking and the glass or two of wine at dinner wasn’t cutting it either. Liquid calories are KILLER CALORIES!! I was consuming 700 hundred calories in coffee (four big creamy beige mugs full) and alcohol a day! I also put cheese on everything. Not the best weight loss idea. I stumbled on Fatsecret will surfing for recipes and alternatives to Hazelnut creamer (PS there is none). I decided I’d “diet consultants” say you should dieting. From the lenghth of this that is obvious. Any way, I wrote down four things on a post it note that I decided I would stick on my lap top every morning and use it as a book mark at night. The whole “remind yourself of your goals” thing. Here is what it says: No coffee No alcohol Severely limit cheese intake Exercise everyday…if only you walk around the neighborhood. Well I followed by goals yesterday and today I lost a half pound. Well la tee freaking da! Seriously, I’ve skipped meals, more than a few, in the last few weeks to get that scale to move and notta. For now this is my ticket.

WOWWEE! I lost 2 lbs over the last couple of days! And, I’ve hit a new ‘low’! I’m so pleased! Today I start my new vitamins. They’re called “Orovo”. They’re supposed to consist of a concentration of ‘the 10 superfoods’, plus 31 other added vitamins and minerals to help detox the body. These vitamins have the side effect of helping one lose weight as well! I’m excited to try them to see if they really work! We’ll see within a couple of week, I guess! Thank God it’s hump day! Only have to work a half day tomorrow! It’s been rather hot but nice lately. I think I’ve managed to keep my allergies under control now, too, with the help of a generic brand of Zyrtec. We’ll see.
