My local supermarket is offering the following sales: 2-for-$5 General Mills cereals, buy one get one Lays Potato Chips and 10-for $10 Barilla pasta.
While these are some excellent prices, they do not compare with Brinker International’s latest deal. Forbes reported the company recently sold 95 Chili’s Grill & Bar restaurants for the bargain price of $155 million.
The buyer, Stamford, Connecticut-based private equity group Olympus Partners, is forming a Chili’s franchise named Pepper Dining, which will operate the restaurants. Pepper Dining plans to build 14 to 38 Chili’s restaurants in the next several years, the company said in a statement.
