Henrik Stenson was disqualified from the Deutsche Bank Players’ Championship on Fridayafter losing count of how many shots he had taken.
On his way to missing the cut Stenson was initially credited with an impressive 12on the par-5 17th at Gut Kaden, but was disqualified as he couldn’t remember his exactscore and was therefore unable to sign his scorecard.
The 31-year-old Swede had led the Order of Merit since February until Padraig Harrington’svictory in the Open Championship last Sunday.
