It’s been a great summer so far. I have been able to golf and enjoy all the fun social times that come from this glorious time of year. Let’s be clear, Canada is a wonderful country and this time of year is just amazing. We have had lots of sun, blue skies and light breezes. It’s just awesome. Work has been busy and I wish I could get out to the golf course more often, but alas I need to work in order to pay for the golf rounds – lol. I have played quite a few times this month. Now as some of you may know I have embarked on the path to lower scores. I figured that I would take some lessons and make it to the land of consistent swings. Well to my horror, the opposite is taking place. When seeing myself on video and in super slow motion, I was appalled. I just couldn’t believe it. I immediately saw 2 major flaws. Firstly, I was not coming from the inside, in fact I was coming a little over the top. Secondly, I was creating too much lateral motion. This dragging of my body through the hitting zone was causing inconsistent strikes. So as you can see I have a lot of work to do. Oh well, that is life. At this point, I am caught in between how I swung in the past and how I SHOULD swing the club. Sometimes I make great passes at the ball and sometimes I revert to the old swing. Making a change in the middle of the season is not so good for the ego, but it is worth it. OK, here are the scores.
Tangle Creek – 92 (47/45)
Ballantrae GC – 87 (44/43)
Guelph Lakes – 73 (37/36)
Legends of Niagara – Usshers Creek – 86 (42/44)
Legends of Niagara – Battlefield – 84 (45/39)
