This is the amulet scarf from Knit Picks.  It’s knit in Suri Dream and is a quick knit that’s fun to do.  Choosing and stringing the beads was the hardest part.  I have another ball of Suri Dream so I plan to do another one of these.  Maybe for a Christmas gift.  I’ve never knit with beads before, but I’m learning (oh so slowly) with the MS3 project.  My progress on that is practically at a stand-still.  I’m barely half-way through the first clue, see:

I’ve seen the progress others are making, so I know it’s going to be beautiful; but it takes a bit of concentration and quiet, two things that are in short supply around here.  We have our neice visiting from TX, so we’ve been playing tourist in our own town.  Not to mention my house has a definite “summer camp” feel to it these days.  With the neice, it makes 3 teenagers in the house, plus an 8-yr. old and assorted friends of his from the neighborhood roaming in and out all day.  I’m usually too tired by the end of the day to do much “focused knitting”.  Scarves and dishcloths are about all I can manage for the time being.  So here’s another scarf:

I did this one for my SIL who wanted something fun in her daughter’s cheerleading uniform colors.  It’s just a straight-up garter stitch scarf on US 15’s (10mm) with Patons Allure, Patons Silverlash and Lion Brand Trellis.  I hope I got the color right - it’s hard to talk about color long-distance and pictures don’t always help.  She described the colors as teal, silver and black; the picture I have makes the teal look more turquoise-y, but I went with teal because it’s an email picture and moniters lie.  If I got it wrong, it’s just an excuse to buy more yarn and do more knitting, right?

Belisi scarves are so beautiful! They’re having a big sale on their website and I just bought 3 scarves for $5 each.
