OK - so I’ve turned into an internet pattern junky - thanks to blogging - but that’s what I love about the internet - the world becomes so small and I get to enjoy the creativity and crafting obsessions of people from all over the place.

At first this little girl freaked me out but I kinda love her now and so does my daughter. ‘Miss Moo’ and big brother ‘Double J’ were also a little freaked out by the head bigger than the body thing - but we all have taken to her ‘cartoon like’ look.

Its a free pattern download at Wee-Wonderfuls. Fantastic blog that I read when I can. Just for fun play the slide-show of all the kitties that have been made and posted by enthusiasts of Hillary’s blog - lot’s of inspiration and cute funny shots of cats looking out windows, hiding in the grass, eating food etc etc. My teddy-bear making days came back to me when it was time to turn the pieces out and stuff - as Hillary says it’s a bit of nightmare - but worth it.
And now here we have the delightful Miss Maddie modeling a FINISHED UFO - can you believe it??? I wanted a BRIGHT red scarf in fisherman’s rib for this winter so it wasn’t a UFO for long. The wool is from Lincraft and it’s called Veronica. A lovely soft chunky 12 ply. I normally don’t knit anything in synthetics but I loved everything about this wool when I bought it. 8mm needles, 18 stitches, knit 1 purl 1 rib and whatever length you want. It was quicker doing the normal rib rather than knitting below the stitch to create the fisherman’s rib, but the finished scarf still has that lovely chunky stitch look. You will find some great free patterns on the Lincraft site also.
And next we have the equally delightful ‘Grace’ modelling UFO Number 3 - my cream lace scarf. Again I’ve always wanted a really long lacy scarf, and being so long I don’t think I will get it finished for this winter. It’s in another beautiful wool from Lincraft called LIMA (alpaca and acrylic mix) The pattern is a simple 4 row lace pattern and its from the Lincraft Winter Yarn 07 pattern book (page 34).

Belisi scarves are so beautiful! They’re having a big sale on their website and I just bought 3 scarves for $5 each.
