I’m not a guy that likes to tell people what to do when they swing. On top of that I really hate telling people swing mechanics because no one has truly mastered the golf swing and no one will ever master the golf swing. In this putting drill you will learn how to pressure putt.
What you will need is:
- 3-5 Balls
- A tee
- A putter(well this is a putting drill isn’t it.)
You will first start off at:
- 4 feet- you will have to make 5 putts in a row
Then you will go on to:
- 6 feet- you will have to make 10 putts in a row
- 10 feet- you will have to make 4 putts in a row
- 21 feet- you will have to make 3 putts in a row
- 30 feet- you will have to make 2 putts in a row
- 60 feet- you will only have to make 1 putt
Use the tee to mark the distance so you always have an accurate drill distance. Don’t cheat yourself during this drill. From my personal point of view it takes me about an hour and a half to complete this drill. It may be frustrating at first but you will feel accomplished when you complete this drill. The point of this drill is to put the ball into the hole and get used to seeing the ball get into the hole. When I play with my friends they are shocked at how many putts I drop. They ask me how I do it and I just explain this drill. Well get on the putting green and start drilling.
