Well I missed the 5 a.m. workout today. I had trouble sleeping last night and just didn’t feel I had met a normal human being sleep quota so I opted for the extra hour. Still feeling good though, because I have my workout planned (Total Body Time Crunch for about an hour from now). I suppose it’ll be baby steps all the way to a full on 5-day-per-week 5 a.m. workout! I’ll be happy to get just two in this week! (And as long as the workouts get done at SOME point during the day, I’m in better shape than I’ve been the last two weeks!)

Another day of good eating, though tomorrow I will run to the store for the extra vegetables I was talking about yesterday. I’m fine with salad stuff, but I need to find some good recipes and things as side dishes to go with chicken or other protein (vegetable-wise). I also want to make a lot of soups and stews this winter, cause I really like them and find I don’t need to eat a lot of them. I suppose it’s time to pull out the Barefoot Contessa chicken chili recipe again - it’s really good and really healthy (well, at least I can’t find anything unhealthy in the recipe’s ingredients list - tomatoes, peppers, chicken breast, olive oil, onion and other stuff I’m sure but I’m not looking at it right now).

I’m trying to focus on cardio workouts right now as I think that’s what I need. Today will be a cardio and sculpt workout though - Total Body Time Crunch.

I have to remember on Friday though that any actual weight loss results might not come from the first week. I’m trying to eat properly - no low carb diets here! I’m going for well-balanced, but I know that’ll probably take longer than the no carb version!

I’m also waiting for my Jillian Michaels books to come in the mail. She’s the trainer from the Biggest Loser - and I’d love just an hour training session with her! I figure since I can’t actually puchase HER to constantly kick my butt about exercise, the books are the next best thing!
