Its been awhile since I have blogged.  The steam behind my self improvment spurt cooled down, and I found myself bogged down in all my changes.  I am still moving forward on all fronts, but in stead of sprinting I am taking a few baby steps.  Despite all of my intentions, I am down to 163.  Somewhere between stopping smoking, getting my eyes adjusted, writing a blog, trying to pull my house into order and taking the Alli , a pound and a half left me.  I did not even notice.

My eyes are doing well, still a bit dry and achy at times, but better each day.  I do not have my night vision back: totally makes my life difficult.  Wait, that attitude is getting me no where.  I now need to walk back from any events I attend at night.  I stroll back in the moonlight and then, early in the morning, briskly walk back to collect my car.  Its like living in Paris, your exercise routine is part of life.   The kid’s schedules have taken a hit: if I can’t car pool them out of thier lessons (too far to walk) they miss them.  My husband, needless to say is traveling, so his help is fitfull at best.

Nevertheless, my sight is a gift.  I never realized how much maintenance is behind glasses and contacts till I no longer use them.  I still reach for my glasses while making the bed (YEAH, we are now all making our beds in the morning!).

As diet, my girlfriend has lost 8 lbs on this whole diet.  I am going to buy the book from target and read it tonight.  More on that later! Its good to blog again!
