Hello World,
I have started this blog in order to chronicle my adventures with online dating. I had very little luck meeting the right girls in bars and at work, so I decided to sign up for eHarmony. I am looking to get married sometime in the next 2-3 years (yes, I know you really can’t plan these kinds of things) and so I decided to find an online dating service that catered to a high quality type of client (not that there weren’t high quality people on Match and Yahoo, but rather, eHarmony seemed to attract more of the type of person that I am looking for).
Anyways, I signed up about 3 months ago and have since gone out on 6 dates. There was absolutely no chemistry with 3 of the 6 girls that I went out with. It’s funny, you meet someone online and you send emails back and forth, and those emails get progressively longer and more personal, and you think to yourself….wow, I found the love of my life. Then you progress to the telephone and have 2-3 hour long conversations and by this point in time you are REALLY thinking that you have found someone that you have a lot in common with. Then you meet in real life and have absolutely nothing to say to each other, and to make matters worse, the in-person chemistry just isn’t there.
The other 3 people, were Jen, Kirsten and Michelle. Jen is an artist, Kirsten a chef and Michelle designs clothing. A real mix of women here !!
In my next post I will discuss in detail each girl and just how the dates went down. There were some really funny moments and some real not-so-funny moments in a few of the dates I went out on. Does spilling an entire bowl of soup in your lap count as “funny” or “not-so-funny”.
I have to be honest here folks….I am a veteran online dater. Over the years, I have gone from zero to hero by constantly reviewing my tactics and strategies when going out on what essentially is a semi-blind date. If you have any online dating questions, feel free to drop me a note on here via the comment box and I will do my best to help you. For the latest eHarmony promotional codes, please goto that site.
In future posts I am going to talk about everything from how to make yourself less nervous on the first date (and not spill that bowl of soup) to what to wear and how to conduct yourself (hint: don’t go for more than a peck on the cheek on the first date).
