First, I want to say how grateful i am for this list. I have learned so
much. My doctor told me I could live with the pain, or have my gallbladder
out. I was having some pain every day after my second (in 2 years) trip to
the emergency room. I am amazed at how just a few of the things I have
learned here have helped me. I take a tablespoon of olive oil every
morning. I just chase it with water. I add a little lemon juice to my
water, snack on sunflower seeds, and have added a B-complex to my vitamins.
I eat very little sugar, maybe a glass of soda and one cookie a week.
(Well, with kids it tends to be around occasiionally.) I feel so good. I
have a slight occasional awareness on my right side, maybe twice a week, and
only if it has been a while since I’ve eaten. My doctor never even
mentioned that perhaps my liver was not as healthy as it should be, but I am
convinced this is the problem. I am also convinced that the olive oil is a
big part of my feeling better. It always seemed to be lack of fat that
caused my pain. the first time I had any problems, I was seeing a
nutritionist, on a diet!! Now I make sure i get the right type of
fat. Amazingly, I have dropped about 8 pounds even though i am dieting.
I haven’t been able to lose any befroe, no matter what i did, with the
exception of the Atkins diet which worked incredibly well. I had to stop
after 2 weeks, because I couldn’t stand the thought of eating one more bite
of meat, but I had lost 20 pounds in those 2 weeks, and I was pain free.
Interesting.
