When the words you’ve been served are spoken - usually both sides of the story are worth hearing. Then again, as the saying goes: there are three sides to every story.
Mike Adams of NewsTarget is the Health Ranger. When he speaks out about something — it’s usually worth a listen. Recently he been speaking-out on behalf of Kevin Trudeau, author of the controversial and popular books “Natural Cures”. Turns out, once again Trudeau has been sued by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). This time, it’s not about coral calcium and cancer; it’s about weight loss claims made in the marketing of his book, “The Weight Loss Cure “they” Don’t Want You to Know about”.
From what I gather of the Amazon.com review - he’s asking readers to submit to a protocol involving a $500 purchase of supplements. What’s the problem? Apparently these supplements are illegal in the United States, as per our loving Food and Drug Administration. Somehow, the fact that these supplements are illegal in the US does not necessarily mean they don’t help. After all - the FDA makes those of us in the United States who want to use natural vertebrate insulin jump through hoops and kiss their asses for permitting us (after we pay them) to import the insulin. So why is Kevin Trueau being dragged through the mud for offering the same kind of information to people wanting to lose weight?
I guess the FTC is terribly frustrated that overweight Americans don’t want to indulge in the soupy-poopy aftermath of GlaxoSmithKline’s alli. The best excuse for failure on alli is failure to comply with directions **after taking the pills**. Why not save yourself a clean pair of drawers and stick with Weight Waters or South Beach? At least when you fail on those programs you just pay another $20 bucks for your lifetime membership. Today’s mantra: no harm, no foul.
Then again - the FDA approves drugs that kill over 100,000 Americans each year. Why isn’t the FTC going after the FDA? I guess it’s business, as usual. Fight the good fight, Kevin! Thanks to Mike Adams for bringing this to my attention.
