Two Dates On The Way

A dinner party, bridal shower, barbecue & bocce ball and a movie with friends occurred in a 24-hour period this weekend. My best friends also announced that they are pregnant (the wife, of course) and I am ecstatic.

Hey, I got my adult teeth and boobs late. In fact, I’ve been a late bloomer all around, so does it surprise me that I’m late to the party where marriage and kiddos are concerned? No.

INTJ and I have our date tomorrow night. This whole thing is so bizarre to me–good bizarre. I tend to second guess my friendships with men, wondering whether or not we’d make a match but I never did that with INTJ because he was nigh on invisible and I, of course, have always wanted the larger-than-life vision of a man (like my dad was). I’ve also always wanted a friendship that blooms into something more–hard to happen with all that second guessing.

INTJ has made it clear that he really hopes something develops between us. I’m flattered and scared. He’s had a year (or more) to decide how he feels about me. For me? Completely out of left field. This situation taking things very, very slowly. No jumping into bed out of nervousness can happen here!
