I would like to take this opportunity to express myself about the NutraSystem commercial and The Biggest Looser show.
Seeing women who go from a size 12 to a size 2 just make me sick and does not encourage me to join their program - now the women who loose say over 50 pound and go from a size 24 to a size 12, now that is an accomplishment to me. It makes me want to scream every time I see that airhead say I went from a 12 to a 2 AGAIN - GAG ME!!
Last night Dave and I were flipping channels and we came across the Biggest Loser - I am sure you all know the show. Anyway as I watched I realized that it just wasn’t a good show. It seems to me that it is too much about HOW much weight is lost and back stabbing all the other contestants on it. To be healthy and to maintain your weight loss you shouldn’t lose more than 2-3 pounds a week. I just don’t understand the point of it. Isn’t it supposed to be about losing weight to make yourself healthy and not about who can manipulate the game? I think the concept of Biggest Loser is a good one, but I don’t think the game part of it is. I want to have a show that is called “The Healthiest Loser” and contestants are everyday people who have to live a normal life (not fighting in just one house) and have to make the time to eat right and work a job that you have to plan when you work out, etc. The winner would be determined by who lost the most inches over a certain period. I mean come on - the guy on the show who weighs the most has the highest chance of winning because the smaller people don’t have as much weight percentage to lose!!

Anyway, I am doing good on my weight loss. I have gone down another pound (37 total) and lost another 1.75 inches (10.75 total since 1-12).
I turned in a job application recently to West Middle School to be a Instructional Assistant. I plan on taking an application over to Wilmore Elementary for the same position tomorrow as well. Please keep me in your prayers, I would really like to get one of these jobs if it is God’s will.
