Today and tomorrow are going to be interesting tests of my resolve.  I just need to stay with the program, but it’s difficult when eating becomes the center of our entertainment, which it tends to do.  My husband mostly expects me to decide what we’ll eat, but he also has some strong opinions.  I can’t just serve up salads and little entrees.  Inevitably, he’d complain that he was hungry afterward.  We all enjoy eating out, too.

Then Sunday, of course, is Easter.  We’re having dinner at my sister’s house.  The two of us have discussed the menu, so I already know what we’re having.  She’s getting a Honeybaked ham, making potatoes au gratin, a salad, and maybe some green beans.  I have two Marie Callender’s pies for dessert (key lime and chocolate lovers’ chocolate cream).  I’m wondering how I’ll be able to withstand the temptation.

Perhaps I’ll allow myself a little bit of everything for lunch and then commit to having veggies and a Slim-Fast at night.

I weighed 186.2 this morning.  So I’ve lost 3 pounds so far, in 6 days.  I definitely feel better, and I don’t want to undo my progress.  Once I gain a bit of momentum like this, it’s not so hard to look at it like a game, where the goal is to make the best, healthiest choices in every situation.  I think that’s where my focus needs to be right now.
