When I see the word ‘big’ in dating site’s title I immediately think it has something to do with those people who are larger than average in the physical sense i.e. a BBW site or similar. However, BigChurch.com is nothing of the sort and is a Christian dating site.

The tag line for this site is “meet people who share the same spiritual beliefs‘, but of course they are referring to people who share the same basic Christian beliefs and therefore belong to the various Christian denominations. The site boasts over half a million members which is a large pool of members but is only small proportion of Christians in the world so perhaps this niche has yet to peak in terms of dating and social networking online.

Of course, religion and sex don’t always see eye to eye so perhaps more than any other niche, surfing Christians may be a little more reticent than others to join such a site. To help people get into the groove there’s an multiple choice quiz: ‘Discover Your Sex Appeal‘ which may help would-be members to think more about themselves, what they have to offer, and what they expect from a partner.

Love is the ultimate goal and if God is Love then dating shouldn’t be frowned upon due to religious prejudice. Anything that brings people together with the ultimate goal of matrimony and wedded bliss can’t be a bad thing.
