I have actually just finished reading the article that I recommended for you yesterday, It was so fascinating I read the details on all ten parts. I really worked on the first one today, making “I” statements, I admit I normally blame other things for not eating right and working out and thats all wrong. I actually did not walk yesterday, because the weather was really cold, then I read in the “I” statements that that was using an external excuse. My eyes were opened, today, even though it was cold I through on my tennis shoes and walked out from my house, it was aproximantly an hour long walk and it had lots of hills to go up and down. I felt good about going outside and pushing my limits. As for todays goal, I really did not have that hard of a time with the squats. I didn’t do sissy squats barely bending my knees, I squated low on every squat as if I was about to sit in a chair that was very low to the ground. I felt the burn and I already feel somewhat sore, Im sure I will feel more sore in the morning, I love that feeling. It makes me feel like I have accomplished something. As for the weekly goal, I did my triceps kick-backs about a half-hour ago, I actually did them between reading sections of the Spark People article. I had not felt anything for having done them yesterday, but when I started tonights reps I felt yesterdays work and it brought a smile to my face. Okay that is all about my exersising, on to my diet. I ate good all day and even had a good diner, but when I got back from walking I had a cupcake. We still have a few left over from Easter and for some reason I felt compelled to eat one. I know that I shouldn’t have but I did, and the next part is really bad…I ate it while watching NBC’s The Biggest Loser! Sad…I know! I have to start somewhere though, I exersised really good today so I am calling today a good day. I do not know if I will gain or lose on Thursday when I weigh because of the Easter weekend, but I am motivated either way. I almost forgot I drank my two bottles of water today without any problems. I have not been at this to long and the water is getting easier to drink. Jillian Michaels of The Biggest Loser, said today that the contestants on The Biggest Loser drink a ton of water everyday, she even said that drinking water can lead to less muscle pain from workouts. That is a motivator in itself. While I am on the topic of The Biggest Loser, I want to talk about Ali, not the host, the contestant. I have been so inspired by her, she now has lost more weight than any woman ever on The Biggest Loser. She did not start out with as much to lose as a lot of the other women and she just got into and has lost over 80 pds. I was watching the show and actually said out loud tonight, wow! She Inspires me! After watching her on the show, I had that moment of “Hey, I can do that to!” I know that it has not been easy for her, but she is proof that if we want something enough we can make it happen. I have provided a link to the official Biggest Loser website so that you can read more about the show and about Ali.

If you get a chance, check out weighins.com. It’s a supportive close-knit community for people wanting to lose weight. With a free membership you can join a weight loss challenge (like the Biggest Loser tv show). You also get a free calorie counter and a personal diet journal. I like it much better than sparkpeople.
