It was just another of those “keep going, don’t think too much” days.  I worked out, ate the foods on my plan, and tried not to let myself get hung up on the fact that the scale hasn’t moved in quite awhile.  I’m still hovering at 181.6, even though I was EXTREMELY HUNGRY when I went to bed last night.

Because I was so ravenous that it made it difficult to fall asleep, I was sure I’d have a major loss this morning.  It was surprising to step on the scale (something I haven’t done in a few days - I’m trying to restrain myself from focusing too much on the numbers) and see the exact same weight as I’d seen the last time.

I’m not going to let myself get discouraged.  I’m in a groove, a good groove, of enjoying my new eating habits, enjoying my workouts, enjoying feeling thinner.  I really like how my jeans are looser.  There actually was a time - not too long ago! - when even my fat jeans were uncomfortably tight, to the point where, when I wanted to relax, I’d change out of them and put on a pair of my husband’s old ratty sweats.

So it’s great to have made some progress.  Yes, I’m eager to make more progress.  It’s a little frustrating to think that I still have such a long way to go.  But at least I’ve come this far.

Here was my plan today:

South Beach bar (140); milk (90); banana (100); carrots (70); Slim-Fast Optima (180); steamed zucchini (100); Stouffer’s Stuffed Green Peppers (delicious, super-satisfying, and only 300 calories) (although 16 fat grams…but that’s OK); apple (100); milk (90).

Total:  1180

If you get a chance, check out weighins.com. It’s a supportive close-knit community for people wanting to lose weight. With a free membership you can join a weight loss challenge (like the Biggest Loser tv show). You also get a free calorie counter and a personal diet journal. I like it much better than sparkpeople.
