I did not know what to title this post so I just decided to name it after the diet plan that I am positive is going to bring about changes in my figure. I was talking to one of my cousins earlier and he said that several members of his mom’s side of the family (I’m related on his dad’s side) had lost a lot of weight doing weight watcher’s. I, myself, lost 11 pounds on weight watchers a couple years ago. For me that is a lot of weight, not enough of course, but it was a sucess that I was proud of. I have sense gained my weight back, its not Weight Watcher’s fought its my fault. I chose to quit following the diet and I regressed. I am now following it again, you knew that already though. I had a good day today mostly and then I had a piece of cake. Let me explain, I followed my points down to the number, I ate exactly 22 the amount that I am alloted. Then, I was faced with cake this evening and things went down hill from there. When I see cake its like I’m taken over by some outside force that compels me to eat whether I like it or not. In tonights case it was not even a type of cake that even liked that much, but that did not matter once the temptation sat in. Does anyone else have this problem? It’s crazy, you would think that as an adult woman I would be able to control myself a little better.

Why do we engage in self sabatage when dieting? I am not sure of the answer, if anyone has any insights into this querry please feel free to comment and let me know what you think. My guess would be that we lack proper motivation. Sometimes we do not envision the rewards of doing well on our diets at the right times.

I am putting a link to a web md article on motivation that I found so that anyone who is having the same motivational issues as me can read it and see if it helps them.

I am also providing a link to a Carl Edward’s workout story that I found. I did not realize how in shape the guys of Nascar have to be to do there job, reading about the reasons he keeps in shape might motivate you to keep in shape to..it opened my eyes!

Okay I guess I wil go ahead and update with tommorow’s daily goal and this weeks weekly goal.

weekly goal: monday, wednesday, Friday- glamour weight routines, at least some cardio every single day, 2 bottles of water- this is a big goal, but I can do it, and if you are doing this with me, you can do it to!

daily goal: Keep within my 22 Weight Watcher’s Points

We can do this, one day at a time!!

Good luck all, feel free to leave any coments!

If you get a chance, check out weighins.com. It’s a supportive close-knit community for people wanting to lose weight. With a free membership you can join a weight loss challenge (like the Biggest Loser tv show). You also get a free calorie counter and personal diet journals. I like it much better than sparkpeople.
