Tech talk. I upgraded Firefox 3.0 release candidate 1. While FF was already significantly faster than Microsofts Internet Explorer, the 3.0 version set the bar on performance considerably higher. Add to that several great user interface improvements (such as searching in the address bar), and you can see FF getting again more attention (and downloads, and market penetration). I can honestly recommend FF for safer, faster and more standards compliant browsing. IE to me is equivalent of “Windows Update”, it’s literally the only thing I use it for.
Speaking of browsers. If you happen to use Skype (if not, you are a thief of your own wallet), do NOT use the Skype plugin Firefox (version 2 or 3) that came with the latest Skype (3.8). It screws up certain jpg’s, framed websites, etcetera.
If you haven’t already, you can download firefox for free! Try it out yourself and see why it’s the best browser on the planet.
