The South Park Music Tour is the highest festival in the country, according to its promoters, and that’s not just a nod to the fact that Fairplay is just under 10,000 feet in elevation. Hell, even the zip code ends in 420.
But beyond that, the South Park Music Tour is a gem for discovering bands and the lineup is made up predominantly of emerging artists. If each week you look at the local calendar and wonder who a lot of the local bands are, this is the festival to check out. Lots of Colorado bands play the festival and the ones who aren’t local regularly tour the region.
