I just posted to my mom about how different foods effect each of us differently. I had a huge caloric burrito a few weeks ago, with a whole wheat tortilla, chicken, black beans, cheese, guacamole & sourcream..the WORKS (but whole wheat)..didn’t gain an ounce. a few weeks later thinking “maybe I can handle this type of thing” I had LESS than one serving of Doritos, spread on a plate with low fat cheese, and home made guacamole & salsa. I weighed heavy that night but woke up even heavier. 4 pounds gain from that “not even a full serving” of Dorito nacho plate. Don’t get me wrong though, It wasnt a full serving of Doritos but I had them loaded big with the low fat cheese and guacamole & salsa! Anyway, I’m not weighing in for a few days as I have already lost a little of it and know how to get right back to where I need to be. I’m still below my goal weight so I’m ok. But it is just another example of how mysterious our bodies are. An 88 calorie Mondo burrito on whole wheat with regular cheese & sour cream, no gain. A few Doritos with low fat cheese and light sourcream and gain 4 pounds. It’s ok, so now I know..Doritos even in moderation are NOT my friend. I have some news in our house but will wait till I can post some pics probably tomorrow or the next day. Its been crazy busy here but I am still thinking of you all! *Mwah*
