Yesterday was a hectic day, I had one appointment after the next and ended up eating lunch very late. I also didn’t drink nearly enough water. A dear old friend whom I have missed very much came to stay with us last night - I was very quick to suggest we go out for dinner - and quick to take extra wine at the restaurant, and take tastes of everything. I did not clean my plate however, and I was ultra aware of the fatty content of some of the things. This morning, we were having coffee together and I was tempted just to skip breakfast. I ended up having lentils, but I didn’t think twice about the idea that I would just skippity doo da the most important meal of the day. (in fact it was my friend who reminded me!) It’s strange how when I am hit with an emotional time I lose every urge to stick with the plan. I wonder why that is. I think I am going to have to really prepare myself for this upcoming trip home. It’s not for awhile now but I think I should start preparing myself mentally already to stick to the program.
