Marissa Jaret Winokur, Broadway star on Hairspray, dropped 45 pounds before making her dancing debut on Dancing With the Stars this past fall. Inspired by her BFF, Ricki Lake, this 5-foot actress shed an additional 7 pounds while competing for the show’s coveted trophy.

Winokur went from a size 14 to a size 10 by following the Zone Diet delivery meal plan. Her typical 1,200-1,800 calorie a day menu consists of egg whites, turkey bacon, salad with chicken and beef with veggies.

A consistent workout plan helped slim Winokur’s waistline including a one-hour Cardio Barre class (mixing cardio and ballet), 45 minute runs, daily swims and weight lifting with a personal trainer three times a week. According to US Weekly, Marissa thinks it’s more about working out than what you eat.
