As a Christian, it is important to bring your spiritual principles into all of your relationships. In a society that uses carnal pleasure as a tool for selling, it is hard not to be struck with the difficulty in doing that. And, when you find someone you like, your God given instincts come into play, driving you to want to be together completely.
Remember first that our desire to be with others physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually are God given and therefore good. It is the order which we approach them, and our intensity in the pursuit, that is a real challenge.
When the urges come up to put the physical before the spiritual, it as that moment that we must reach for God’s help. He is willing and able if we let him.
