My weigh in this morning was encouraging, and the message from my lifeguard to get to my Summer Beach Mini Challenge this week was also a good wake up call. We biked to the beach, conquered the hill, and saw that conditions were perfect for swimming out to the buoy. The swim took less time than last time, I think due to a number of factors, including that we knew what to expect this time and it was less stressful. We took a detour with the bikes around to pick up an ingredient for my Chinese dish, which we could not find. This afternoon there is another shop we’re going to try. I had set my running shoes and socks just next to the front door as a reminder when I got home. I chose the sport TRIATHALON for my Olympic event. My husband was very supportive and came along with me for the running part. Mind you we only ran around the block! That was enough. I was tempted to skip the run because we were exhausted when we got home but now I can say I rose to the challenge!
